I started to play volleyball in the third grade, and immediately fell in love with it. The aspects of volleyball that I enjoy most include being a part of the team and the intensity of the game. I love the excitement that comes with every point, and believe that every player plays a crucial role in the overall success of the team.
I am hard working, positive, and focused, and have received many compliments regarding my maturity and energy on the court. My goal is always to support my team to the best of my ability and to act as a leader both during the game and off of the court.
To support my team this year, I transitioned from my usual position of Libero to setter. After my team's initial struggles with setting, I volunteered to change positions. Although I enjoyed the challenges of setting, I am ready to go back to playing DS/Libero this coming season.
It is my dream to play volleyball in college, and I hope to be challenged both as an athlete and a student. I take both my studies and extracurricular activities very seriously, and intend to graduate at the top of my class in 2018. In addition to being a conscientious student, I plan to challenge myself further by taking as many AP classes as possible during my junior and senior years of high school. I have not yet decided what career path I would like to pursue. However, I am interested in coaching club volleyball someday.
