Personal Statement
I want to play college volleyball because I have been playing for what seems like my whole life, and my life wouldn't feel right without the game I love. I also see it as an opportunity to get a good education so I can be successful beyond the volleyball court and classroom. I have been playing for about 10 years...I participated in my first camp when I was 6, and I have been playing since. I feel like I have a really good understanding of the game, I "SEE" the game, and I have good court savvy!
I am a very well rounded player! Out of necessity, I have had to become really good at multiple positions. I am OH 1 on my high school varsity team, I SET and play OUTSIDE in club, and I have played LIBERO many times in my life. I love playing Outside Hitter the best because I get to do everything... hit, block, dig, pass! That being said, I play BIG, but I know I am small for that position. I spend a ton of extra time in the gym training as a setter and working on my defense and ball control. I would LOVE to be a college Setter, and this is where I feel my best opportunities are for being able to have an impact at the college level.

I come from a volleyball family. My mom is a successful high school & club coach (6 State titles in Utah, HP National Champs 2009); my dad is a former college coach (Dixie State University); and my sister is a Division I libero (BYU). The greatest influence in the way I play, however, comes from my little brother, Camden, who has special needs. Just having him around makes me want to do my very best, and work my hardest because he cannot do the things a normal eleven year old can do. (He is wheelchair bound and cannot speak!)
I LOVE this game. I know I have the skills and attitude to really help a team at the collegiate level! My ultimate goal is to win a National Championship! I am HUNGRY to play at the next level!
