I began playing volleyball when I was 14 years old after I decided to quit my main sport, soccer. I had played soccer both recreationally and competitively for 8 years until I found my passion for volleyball. I enjoyed both sports, but trying to compete on two different club teams was taxing, and ultimately volleyball came out on top. I learned the game quickly and improved in a short amount of time. Once I was in 10th grade, I was a starter on the Sophomore, JV and Varsity teams and was named 2nd Team-All Region VII. I got injured shortly after and couldn’t return to play for almost a year. Now I currently play on High Country Volleyball 17’s Open team.
My priorities are to get my health back to 100% so I can be the best player I can be. I aim to play collegiate level volleyball at a great school outside of Utah, and I work hard every day both on the court and in the classroom to achieve my goal. Volleyball has taught me to adapt to change, manage stress efficiently and always look out for my teammates. I am incredibly determined to continue playing this sport and intend to push myself mentally and physically to do so.
