My name is MaKayla Jones and I am a sophomore OH/middle hitter for the class of 2020. I have played Varsity for the past two years & I have played club level volleyball for the past 4 years. The past two years I have played 18U with the club team. I am a versatile player on the court willing to play in back and front row if necessary. Last year, I was selected to 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-Region. I received both honors as a Sophomore.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a 3.8 GPA. Aside from volleyball, I enjoy babysitting/dog sitting, attending YoungLife, volunteering for Sunday School at my church, and enjoying my friends and family.
My current goals, are to continue to get stronger and improve. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the court. I hope to be part of a volleyball program which challenges me to be the best player I can be. I look forward to the continued challenge of a college career academically and athletically. I am a hard worker, competitive, and very motivated.
I am searching for the best combination to be a student-athletic at a high level of volleyball and academic excellence. A student-athlete requires a great deal of commitment, responsibility, determination, and motivation. Each of these qualities contributed to a solid foundation of my character and, furthermore, qualities I deem necessary to be successful in college and on the court. Excellent communication skill is essential on the court and just one of the essential attributes to a great leader.
