Kinslee Hammonds '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kinslee Hammonds and I am a 16 year old Junior from a small town called Gate City located in Virginia. It is my goal to be recruited to play Division I college volleyball, hopefully on scholarship, at a competitive academic university. I am proud to say that I play for Gate City High School where I played as an opposite hitter my freshmen year on the varsity team.  I played middle hitter my sophomore and junior years as well as playing back row my junior year. I am willing to play wherever the team needs me. I am athletic, quick and smart, not to mention extremely driven. I like to think of myself as an all around athlete and take pride in my versatility. I also pride myself on being a leader on and off of the court. You are not going to win every game but you have to believe that you can. I try to share this confidence and enthusiasm with my friends, family and teammates. However, academics always come first. I am very focused academically and maintain a 3.98 weighted GPA and was tied for salutatorian for my Freshman year.
