Hello, my name is Makayla Bowman and I’ve been playing a mix of recreational and travel ball since I was ten years old. To me, volleyball is so much more than a sport. It’s a constant challenge, a motivator, and an outlet that I can use to balance my academic studies. Volleyball has really facilitated my mental and physical strength. On the court and in the classroom, I strive to continuously better myself. I don’t settle for “the minimum.” In volleyball, I can keep challenging myself and achieve new goals. I try to set high goals for myself, and one of those goals is to play at the collegiate level. I believe that volleyball will push me past my potential and teach me to keep reaching new heights.
