Personal Statement
I can contribute to the success of your 2022-23 Volleyball Team because I am a competitive, hard-working, leader. I have played volleyball since I learned about the sport in 5th grade, and take every opportunity to step on the court whether as part of a local Sand Rec League, Junior Olympic Indoor Volleyball, or my school team. I began playing JV my 8th grade year, and have served as a Captain since starting my varsity career in the 9th grade. Nothing motivates me like making the right set for my teammates, or determining how to get the kill when hands and arms are all over my line of sight.
I have gained so much experience from playing volleyball, learning how to motivate the players around me and keep morale high when we play a tough team. Travel has also provided me the opportunity to make friends in teammates who share a competitive nature with me.
I can't believe I am a senior, and that it is time to think about preparing college applications and a recruiting profile. I want very much for volleyball to be part of my college experience. Academics are also important to me, and I hope to pursue a career in Speech Pathology.
