My name is Kennedy and I am currently in my 9th year of learning and playing volleyball, there is always something new to learn as I continue my love of the sport. I began my volleyball career in elementary school learning all of the court positions, then I went on to middle school and became a setter and middle hitter. When I entered high-school I was mainly an outsider and middle hitter, as well as playing some right-side server and learning back-row. This year I am involved in Club, playing all-around with my main position a middle blocker / hitter.
I was fortunate enough to get honorable mention for Evergreen League my Junior year, to Second Team all League for Evergreen in my Senior Year. I have received many honorable awards, Captain Awards, Scholar Athlete Awards, Offensive Player of the Year, Best Teammate Award, Varsity Captain Award, Varsity Letters in 3 sports and went to State in Track twice.
The important thing I earned and learned form all of this, is humility, willingness to learn, value of my coaching and that it takes an entire team to be successful.
The thing that sets me apart is my deep empathy and compassion for others; not only my teammates, coaches and supporters, but those in my community as well. I truly I want to lift up, encourage and bless those that are around me, I believe in treating all people with dignity and work hard to make sure I don't judge people.
My goals for college are to further my education in Public Administration, Business Management or Criminal Justice. In completing my educational goals, I am planning on attending our Washington State Police Academy. My purpose is to serve as a police officer and make my community a safer and better place to live in Grays Harbor County.
Respectfully yours,
Kennedy K.J. Pruett
