My name is Isabelle Prentice, a 2022 graduate from Bainbridge High School in Washington state. I am a pin hitter for my high school varsity team and my club, OPVBC 16.1 team. In my years playing, I strive to learn to play the entire court and all of the positions other than libero, with this knowledge I can see the court with multiple views.
When I step onto the court, I give it my all; every practice, every game and every work out. I stay focused, have lots of energy and work to be a leader on my team. My goal is to encourage my team to play at the highest caliber, celebrate our successes and learn from our challenges.
This last summer I had the exciting opportunity to work with USA National High Performance A2 camp in South Carolina. I attended a week of playing volleyball with select girls from all over the country while being coached by college coaches who pushed us to excellence. I also was selected to play with our local USA Volleyball Puget Sound Regional team and was an alternate for their team to attend nationals.
Outside of volleyball I am immersed in my school community. I am currently a part of the National Honors Society and have a 3.8 GPA. I participate in Link Crew which brings leaders together to help solve challenges within the school. In middle school I was part of the ASB officers. I am also a part of the Athletic Medicine club, which we learn about treating injuries and how to do field evaluations. Part of Athletic Med club is being present for 180 hours of observations and working with an athletic trainer.
In order to maintain high endurance and physical strength, I work out with a personal trainer and participate in Martial Arts as an advanced belt. I also work on core strength and flexibility by doing yoga barre core. I enjoy being active weather it’s out on the water sailing my grandfather’s 38 foot Catalina or backpacking in the beautiful PNW.
