I am a 5’7” setter/opposite from Kirkland, WA. I have started on the Juanita High School varsity team for 3 years, where I earned the KingCo All League award in my freshman year. This is my 6th year of club travel team experience and I am playing for Blue Royals Volleyball Club for their U18s team. During my U16s year, I was voted team captain and MVP. My current GPA is 4.0 and I am taking classes at Central Washington University’s Sammamish campus in addition to my regular homeschool classes.
I am looking for an institution where I can find the best balance between school and volleyball. My ideal athletic environment would be one where I could contribute to the team’s success and create lasting friendships. I would like to be a part of something, both on and off the court, and I would like to learn, grow, and thrive as a player, student, and person. I believe my best fit would be at the DII or DIII level, although I will absolutely consider schools at other levels.
I am interested in studying geology, anthropology, or archaeology and I love to read about ancient mythology and cultures. My hobbies include reading and writing fiction novels, playing violin (which I have done for 8 years), drawing, and playing board games. My family has gone on numerous RV trips throughout the western United States. We’ve gone as far east as Chimney Rock, Nebraska and visited over 15 national parks and monuments! Some of my favorites are Sequoia National Park in California, Custer State Park in South Dakota, and the Olympic National Park along the Washington State peninsula. Something my family always says is that there’s something interesting everywhere, and we have most certainly found that to be true!
As a hardworking and conscientious student, I hope to bring my enthusiasm, commitment, and teamwork to volleyball at the next level. My determination to succeed combined with a love of volleyball and education will help me to succeed in college.
