Personal Statement

My name is Jessica Brennis. I am 18 years old and I have been playing volleyball since I was 8. I have a tremendous love for the sport and I would love to continue playing in college. I currently play for Seattle Juniors, U18 and for Varsity at Snohomish High School. I am a 5'10" outside hitter and I also play great at right side. I love to play all around. I have also been told that I have great setting hands. 

I currently have a 3.75 GPA and work very hard to maintain good grades. I am currently involved in YoungLife and student leadership which I really enjoy. I have taken AP classes for the last 2 years and I am a year ahead in math and science. I hope to attend a school that offers a variety of majors. I am leaning towards fields in math or science. I am also interested in environmental sciences. 

Some of my recent volleyball accomplishments are:

2015: Finished 1st place in bronze division at ECC at the UW in May.

2015: Finished 5th place in the Puget Sound Regional tournament

2015: Finished 10th out of 58 teams in Power League

2015 - 1st place in flight 1 at MLK in Eugene, OR

2015 - Flight 1 in Puget Sound power league

2014 - 1st team All-Wesco in 4A division, Coaches award, 1st in district, and competed in state tournament in Lacey, WA

2014 - MaxPreps player of the match (several occasions). 

2013 - AVCA Phenom program participant in Seattle, WA

I am a very fierce competitor, I always give my all, and I am a enthusiastic and supportive team member. I believe that all of my accomplishments were because I had a great team behind me. I have been very lucky.
