Andrea Wellhausen '20 Recruiting Profile

I plan to attend college and major in business because that will set me on my path for many opportunities. In school, I am a strong student that welcomes all challenges. I am looking for a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I am very passionate about the sport of volleyball. I believe I am good for the fit for the middle hitter/outside hitter position because I enjoy the challenges that are included in those positions. I am specifically intrigued by the quick thinking and the smart movements that must be taken to win. As a leader of high school volleyball, 4-H, and FFA I am aware of the responsibilities that I hold as a member of the team. I am a supportive teammate that wants to see everybody improve and succeed.  I have high expectations for myself and hold myself accountable to continue to move forward by working hard and giving 100% effort at all times. I expect my teammates to commit themselves to the team and the sport as much as I dedicate myself. Thanks to my drive and hard work, I have improved immensely in the last year and I am excited to see the level I will be playing at after graduation! My passion for volleyball transfers to my passion for academics. Since I was young my dreams have changed multiple times but are now at a stop with becoming a wedding planner. I would love to be apart of making every couple’s day magical and ease the pressure off of them to give them a day to remember. In order to fulfill my dream, I plan to major in business and marketing. The stressful situations, communication, and problem-solving is a critical part of teams and a large part of my career.
