Personal Statement
First I would like to state my Love of the Game, all aspects interest me and encourage me to continue. Starting with the play time which of course is the most fun but also the technical side of reffing, scoring and coaching younger kids in rec leagues and CYO middle school. I'm encouraged in winning but feel the most important aspect is successful learning each and every opportunity whether on or off court.
Growing up in a very family oriented environment with older brothers and dedicated parents has taught me the importance of leadership, hard work and grit (hence the older brothers). Having the opportunity to travel to different parts of the world and experience different cultures it has given me the chance to interact with many others and enjoy the differences from my everyday life. Visiting my brothers at different out of state colleges gives me a chance to see and be exposed to new experiences.
Having the opportunity to play with multiple local and regional teams I've been exposed to many excellent coaches with a wide range of coaching styles. Be it indoor or beach each and every coach has not only impacted the way I play but also my understanding of the game. One of the attributes I am most proud of is how each and every coach says how much they enjoy coaching me in both beach and indoor. I have been told by multiple coaches I have a profound knowledge and understanding of the game. I understand that it takes hard work and dedication to have a winning attitude even though you may not always be on a winning team.
Lastly I have attended a Catholic school my entire life and have always maintained high academic grades. I expect my academics to continue throughout my high school experience.
