My name is Rainey Arnold and I would like to further my volleyball career and my academics. I started playing volleyball 6 years ago. As soon as I walked on the court during my first ever game, I knew I had fallen in love with it. Volleyball has taught me to work along with my other teammates and gain a lot of confidence in myself as a player. I am very thankful for all the opportunities volleyball has giving me by allowing me to learn and practice with my team and to work with my coach’s. Each year, my skills have improved, allowing me to play higher up and learn more as I go. Playing as a middle hitter is where I find the most excitement. Being able to slam the ball on the other side of the net and block other people’s hits makes me feel powerful and want to play more, and learn more skills to improve my game. I’m very adaptable, so swinging right side and outside is fun to me too. I’m always up for learning new things and expanding my skill!
When I’m not playing volleyball, I focus on my academics. Academics are very important to me, I hold myself accountable for my grades, I make sure my grades are great and always push myself to be better. I always make sure to finish my assignments and turn them in on time. When I go to college I want to study veterinary sciences and biology. I don’t have a set college I would like to attend, so I’m open to whatever college or state.
