Hello my name is Courtney Standley, I am young 2021 graduate born Sept 15 2003 with a 3.7 GPA and am a multiple sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball, and tennis at LaSalle High School in Yakima, Washington. I also play USAV Club Volleyball, Sand Volleyball, and AAU Basketball. I started playing club volleyball at age 9. I've always been around the sport to where I'd have to say volleyball is in my blood and it's part of who I am. I've watched my older sister play since I was born and I just fell in love with this sport. I'm very hardworking, extremely coachable, and a very passionate athlete. I am a Setter, OPP and or DS when needed for my high school and club teams, but I've also played every position which makes me very versatile. I've been team captain for my school, and club teams. My freshman year I received the honor of being voted the Viking Award winner by my High School Coaches for being most dedicated and a great role model. My sophomore year I helped my High School team achieve co-league champs and a trip to State. This past 2019 high school season I was nominated 1st Team All League, and our team won the district championships, and again earning a trip to the 1A State Tournament. Volleyball is a huge commitment for me and my family as we go from one tournament to the next along with juggling multiple school sports throughout the school year. Academics are a top priority to me as I strive to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher while playing multiple sports as I know it will be beneficial towards my aspirations of becoming a College level student athlete.
