Emily Holbrook '19 Recruiting Profile

I began to play volleyball in my sixth grade year. When I first saw the team having practice, I knew right in that moment that I wanted to play volleyball. Over the next four years, I grew a passion for the sport and the court became a second home for me. During my tenth grade year, our team was struggling and I couldn't see a future for playing volleyball any more. I was to the point of quitting volleyball for good, but then our team got a new coach and she was a blessing in disguise. She sparked a new and more passionate flame inside of me that has kept me going for the last year and a half. Through the sport of volleyball, I have become an overall better team mate, a stronger leader, and a dedicated Christian that wants to glorify God's name in all I do.

As a student-athlete, my goals for high school are to have a GPA over 4.0 and to have straight A's in my senior year. For my college experience, I would like to be able to multi-task and play the sport I love while being a diligent student, which I have been doing for the past six years. I believe that I can be athletically and academically a great asset to your school and team.
