Seeing my high school team accomplish plays that we have worked very hard at, really makes me love this game even more. I've been playing club volleyball since I was in second grade and ever since then, I have achieved many goals. My freshman year, being the only freshman on varsity, set high expectations for myself. I knew that it wasn't going to always be easy, but I knew that that's where my level of play should be. With an older team, being the freshman I had lots to look up to to be able to improve my game. Playing at a higher level really shows not just your skill level, but metal capacity. We were one game away from going to state, and I have dreamed of playing at state since I was a little girl, so I knew that we'd have to work harder next year to be able to get there.
Volleyball isn't just a game about winning and losing. I really took in teamwork, commitment, and leadership as a sophomore. Throughout my years of playing, I was always along the leadership role. My passion for the game truly is shown on the court. During my sophomore season, going from no awards to 2nd team all conference really showed my hard work that I put in, even in the off season. Even though, again, my high school team was one game away from state, I have two more years. I am determined to get there and fight hard to get that gold ball. I knew that being a student-athlete wasn't always going to be easy, but the long nights truly do pay off in the classroom and on the court. I really would like to play at a program that fits my needs academically and athletically. My passion for the game, leadership, and commitment could really impact a teams skills to go far! I am confident that I can push myself to be a leader on a team!
