I am going to be starting my sophomore year at Hortonville High School in the fall of 2016. I’ve played three years of school/club volleyball. I discovered my passion for volleyball in the summer before seventh grade. In the beginning, I wasn't too sure about it, but my confidence grew the next practice. Wanting to go back and make that day better than the previous, I had a positive mind set, which made me fall in love with the sport. There is no better feeling than stepping on the court, knowing I will be putting my skills and training to use; while contributing to the success of the team. “Play every game as if it were your last”, are words I took to heart and continue to live by, because I want to be remembered. I am willing to work harder, jump higher, and run faster, if it means being recognized. That quote motivates me to never give up, and push myself to make dreams become reality. Additionally, I'm motivated to be a role model for my nephews and others close to me. Being a person other people look up to means I have accomplished more than I could ask for. Lastly, involvement in a team environment made me grow as a person, and also strengthen my playing abilities.
Growing up, I was always determined to be apart of something. Joining soccer, ballet, swimming, and softball, it taught me how to work with others and adapt to challenging and stressful situations. These situations push me to achieve as much as I can on the court and in the classroom. I am currently striving to obtain a 3.9 or higher GPA upon graduating High School. My future goals are to be happy with my life decisions, and to succeed in my desired profession. As of right now, I am leaning towards majoring in Architecture or Education. Having a solid passion for any kind of math, and helping people really has influenced my decision towards a career in those fields of study. Staying focused and driven, will make it easier to accomplish my goals for the future. I am excited to explore my opportunities and find a college that will best suit my educational and athletic ambitions.
