Personal Statement
I have been playing volleyball since I was nine years old. Over time I have become very passionate for volleyball, my aspirations have been looking forward to play at the collegiate level. Ever since I started playing I have had very high goals for my teams and myself to achieve. To play college volleyball is a big achievement and a big life goal of mine.
I have a good eye to read the ball, I am also very quick on my feet. I have a strong accurate serve and a powerful jump serve. I am a team player; if one member of our team is weak, we are all weak until we help that player reach her highest goal. I communicate very well on the court; I am loud and positive. I was a Varsity starter for the 2014 year and a team Captain. I am very open and welcome feedback and easy to coach. I believe in hard work and dedication; you will find me being one of the hardest workers on the team and on the court.
Just as on the court, I work very hard to reach goals in the classroom; I stride to maintain a high GPA, which includes putting in the hours to study and keep up with homework. I also like to help out and volunteer with after school or community activities, such as, Junior Jay (4th - 8th grade volleyball travel teams), soccer, Octagon Club (volunteer community help), Big Brother Big Sister and much more! Another big part of my life is my religion; I am a member of St. John's Catholic Church, I participate in their Youth Program every Wednesday night.
I would really like to attend a college where i can push my hardest on and off the court. I like to be challenged and pushed to excel in my career within the classroom and also with volleyball. I am open to any options and would like to find a college with the highest level of competition as possible. I hope to become one of your interest and be a role model to everyone who would like to play college volleyball and make my family and peers proud.
