I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade, and it was my freshman year of High School that I realized that I wanted to continue to play the sport throughout college. Throughout my years of playing volleyball, I learned that not everything happens the way you plan it! For example, maybe I didn't make a team that I wanted to make so badly, but that taught me to work harder so next time I would make that top team!
I have also overcome many confidence obstacles that I encountered throughout school and athletics, but I taught myself to stand tall and try my best no matter what. I challenge myself in school in order to help me grow, not only to increase my knowledge, but also to teach me that big rewards come with hard work. I enjoy being in lots of clubs at school; such as Future Business Leaders of America, Spanish Club, World Wide Welcome, and Green Sustainability Club. I can reflect the lessons I learn from school onto the court when I play volleyball.
I will strive to keep my GPA above a 3.9 these next two years of High School and then go on to study Pre-Med or Pre-Dentistry in college. I'm looking for a school that will be a good fit for me athletically, but also as importantly academically. Personally, I like to think I'm a fun person but when the game is on the line or a deadline is coming up, I can focus and zone in on the task at hand. I believe I have the talent and the work ethic to play for a college team and will make a major impact on your program.
