Life has been rough for me. My parents got divorced. Volleyball and being on the court lets me forget everything and just be able to enjoy life. I've always wanted to play volleyball since I was really young. I am really good at keeping my emotions in check and not let others get the best of me.
Understanding that wanting to major in that field takes a lot of concentration and time out of a day. I also understand that academics are more important than athletics but I can always make room for the best sport out there. I am a dedicated player and I love to be challenged. Being in motion constantly is what I like. Just standing around is boring. So playing volleyball is perfect because you never stop moving. Hopefully becoming varsity setter this year has opened my eyes to the work I have to do to work for that spot and showing my coaches and team mates that I am made out for that spot and I can be a great leader and captain.
