Personal Statement
I became interested in Volleyball when I was in sixth grade by watching professional and college volleyball on TV. I love watching volleyball because the thrill of smashing down the ball and winning that point is a phenomenal experience. I have learned multiple things through this sport but the two most important ones are if you make a mistake make up for it and the amount of work you as a player put in is the end result of your attitude. I have had a few obstacles that I had to overcome, for example when practices got really tough, I wasn't understanding, I wanted to stop and give up but I knew if I made that decision I would not grow as an individual and a volleyball player. A unique characteristic I have as a volleyball player is I am very focused and all attention is on the game. I plan to learn every position so I can be more versatile with volleyball. I aspire to play volleyball through college and work as hard as I can to reach this goal. I plan to strengthen my body and skills on the off season and during summer. I would be a great candidate for your team because I am self disciplined during practice, games, and in the classroom. I will finish college and I will keep my GPA above 3.75 through out high school and college. I enjoy going to practice everyday for volleyball and I love the game itself. My favorite part of volleyball is getting to be with another family that supports your decisions fully and always will be there for you. Another part of volleyball I enjoy is going up and pounding the ball on the other side of the court. I love watching my team mates grow and work together to help each player improve and grow individually and as a team.
