I am 5'9 and weigh 150 lbs. I have been playing water polo for five years now and love it. I love the intensity and aggressiveness of the sport. I wish to continue playing on the basis of my love for the sport. Along with playing polo I have swam competitively with a club and high school for 11 years as a sprinter. My 50 yard freestyle time is a 24.9 and my 100 is a 55.24. Along with swimming for club, I have also been playing with my local water polo club mainly consisting of guys. This past season I was named winter sports hero, 1st team All- DVL, 2nd team All- CIF, and MVP. I also broke two records for my team and nearly the boy's team; I now hold the record for most goals scored in a game, 13, and most goals in a season, 111. In the water I play hole-set primarily, but also because of my speed I also play as a driver and fast- breaker. I am a left- handed player therefore setting most players off.
I am a captain for my team, I keep them organized and motivated. I always look to set an example for team mates by doing things such as getting in the water first, always paying attention to my coach as he speaks, or even staying after to practice shooting. I have always wanted to go to college playing a sport and as it comes out water polo has caught me, I desire to play at a higher level such as college. The college I am looking foward to attend is of no particular preference, private, public, big or small it is all the same to me, I am there to get an education. I wish to major in engineering either mechanical or aerospace. I hope to bring my personality and aggressive playing nature to a team and have fun.
