Grace Kachmarsky '25 Recruiting Profile

In every endeavor, I strive to be better. I am dedicated to improving every day through hardwork and focus, and strive to bring my classmates and teammates along with me on the journey to success. In the classroom I am a 4.7 GPA, honored by USA Water Polo as an Outstanding Academic All-American, and I take a full course-load of AP and Honors classes. I have completed college coursework through Stanford University in Calculus and Physics. My intention is to join a water polo program where I can continue my passion and apply my talents for the game while earning degrees in Mathematics and Physics towards a career in Astrophysics. In the pool I am a true utility player with over 8 years of club and Varsity experience, and in each season I have been my team's leading goal scorer while also yielding the highest assists and being among the top players in steals. I have been told by each of my coaches that I have an outstanding water polo IQ and I have been the Varsity Captain of my high school team since Freshman year when I had the second-highest goals on the team and led my team to its first League Championship in a tough SoCal league since 2005. In my Sophomore year I was the leading goal scorer, with 92 goals, and continued to dominate as my team's point guard, driving and setting the offense. In Junior year I reached the milestone of 200 goals with over 100 assists and 130 steals. My years of training with the Rose Bowl Water Polo Club in Pasadena and through the Olympic Development Program trainings and camps has also led to my strength on defense and awareness of all aspects of the game.
