Personal Statement

Right now I am enjoying High school, but I look forward to College. I am already a committed Student and Waterpolo player -  and know from club practice with Stanford Girls Waterpolo (my team outside of High school) - what a serious commitment means to the club and to the team. I have grown up with strong family values, learning to deliver on my promises - and knowing that my parents always had my back.

  • My nature is outgoing, happy, and I love to drive great team spirit (I have even been Spirit leader at school),  but when entering that pool, I am determined to give my best for the team and win. Typically, the number of my own goals equal the number of my assists - a reflection of how I first and foremost focus on the team doing great - and can spot the right opportunity.
  • My interest in Healthcare stems from an enjoyment in caring for others, in helping others get better or do better. I know that I would enjoy becoming a pediatrician, working with children more closely - and offer both fun and care to help them heal. The 300+ hours I have already volunteered with the National Charity League - have taught me the importance of giving back and caring for others.
  • I excel in a Center position, and enjoy the tight struggle of scoring from that position the most, and of doing the unexpected to break through. My parents are both from Denmark, and took their international degrees in Europe. They have lived and worked around the world and have taught me the importance of a broader outlook, and a will to learn something new.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
