My name is Tori Navarro and I started playing water polo my Freshman year of high school, and will be going into my fourth Varsity season now as a senior. Starting as a freshman I was able to quickly adapt to Varsity level play and be a top performer due to my experience in basketball and swimming starting at age 8. As much as I enjoyed the other sports, my potential for greater contribution in water polo was brought to my attention by coaches, referees, and authorities in waterpolo who knew the sport greater than I had at the time. So, very determined I took these compliments and was able to grow in my knowledge and love for the sport. I have led Sac Joaquin county in my number of steals as a field player, made 2nd Team: All League (TCAL) and 2nd Team: All Section Division 2. Unfortunately quite a bit of my accomplishments were not marked on paper, so I am looking forward to ensuring the accuracy of my stats Senior season. I’m primarily the driver as I ensure movement and opportunity in the water, as well as being a utility because of my ability to be anywhere that is needed. I am seen as and told that I lead my team by example in and out of the water, and feel it necessary to say that I am very determined to further enhance my knowledge of the game as well as improving my personal and team play when I get the opportunity to play at collegiate level. I look forward to having a coach who will recognize my deep competitive nature and will further push my abilities for the benefit of all involved. I am confident in my abilities yet humbled to brag in my accomplishments. It is difficult for me to do, I prefer to demonstrate my talent in person and would love to get that opportunity.
