Madison Elick '14 Recruiting Profile

     Well, I'll start off with saying thank you for taking the time to look through my profile! I am currently a senior at Tulare Union High School, in Tulare, CA, and I am so thankful to have opportunities like this to have you see who I really am. I stand 5 feet and 9 inches tall, weigh 150 lbs., am one of the quickest swimmers on my team,  and am full with perseverance, passion, drive, and sportsmanship. A large majority of the time I play the center position, but I can go where ever it is best for the team. Besides water polo, I also swim. Those two sports have given me so many chances to exceed in many ways, and I hope that I can have the opportunity to help and be helped along the journey of competing in sports at the college level. 
     I have a true passion for water polo. I have grown up around water polo for practically my entire life. My dad is a swimming and water polo coach, and ever since I was little I've always had chlorine in my blood. Having my dad as a coach has only pushed me harder to want to play water polo in college. To me, it doesn't matter if I play for a D1  or a D3 team. I want to play in a place that brings out my full potential and lets me carry out my dream of playing college water polo. I am open to going anywhere to play polo, but I want to go to a place of high academic rigor. My desired major is Global Studies.  My faith is very important to me, and I hope that I can incorporate my compassion for children and reaching out to people to create my dream job. My athletic goals are to play where I compete to the best of my abilities, but also grow and learn in water polo while I'm there. I want to be challenged and have that feeling where it's so hard that I want to give up, but keep going because I've come so far and I would be stupid to stop. I hope that I am a player and a person that you would accept to play for you on your team. Thank you for your time.
