Personal Statement

I’m a 5’-5”, 140 lb. right handed center defender from Colorado with a 3.75/4.00 GPA. I am a multi sport athlete - I swim competitively and played softball, soccer, and track & field. I started playing water polo when I was 9 years old on one of the two club teams in Colorado. I am a leader in and out of the pool and have been captain of my club team for the past three years. My strengths in the pool include 2 meter defense, ball control, powerful shots and controlling the tempo of the game. Since water polo is not as popular here and our club is small, I play on both boys and girls teams and have played up in age groups in order to get a higher level of competition. This has made me a more aggressive player and responsive to higher tempo play.
