Being apart of the Sectional Swim team and winning Sectionals my Junior year has to be one of the most memorable events that happened since I began high school. Although this was one of my biggest achievements, I feel like I grew into the athlete I am today because I have improved since my freshman year tryouts for swim. When I tried out for varsity Sophomore year, I was cut and ended up making junior varsity. It made me realize giving up was not an option and I pushed myself to be a better athlete when times are tough. This made me a better team player which allowed me to train harder than ever and helped me have success in my water polo career.
Attending a great school that gives us programs like no other allows athletes like me to shape into the athlete many people want to become. Through my years of being a two sport athlete and being apart of these successful teams, it helped me gain the leadership and work ethic skills to help me adapt. This helps be believe that I will make an impact on any water polo program I join. Also, I am looking for a school that can push me athletically and allow me to have a good fit academically because both are equally important for me to succeed.
