I have been playing water polo since the end of my sixth grade year, beginning at the age of 11, and I started with my local club group at Mundelein High School. Ever since then, I've fallen more and more in love with the sport. I've traveled with different clubs, some even being from other states. Leading my team from the goal is one of my favorite things to do, and I know how large of an impact I can have on my teammates and the game. I'm the eyes and ears of the game for them, and although there's pressure, there's nothing more comforting than being in the goal, defending my team.
I have been a strong, competitive, and dedicated athlete and student throughout my entire life. With the large amount of stubbornness I have, I put every ounce of hard work into the game, my academics, and anything else I am pursuing no matter the challenge put in front of me.
I strive to be a better goalie each and each day, lifting, running, and participating in a variety of other sports to maintain a strong physique. I want to play at the collegiate level in order to prove to myself and others that hard work really does pay off, and that even when there are doubts of self-worth and capabilities, there is always more of a story to be told.
