Although I have only been involved in the sport for 4 years, I have learned so much from the teammates and coaches I have gotten the opportunity to work with. I have grown such a passion for this sport; I love the competitiveness and team aspect, and also being able to develop not only as an athlete but as a person in general, which is why I want to continue my athletic career at the collegiate level. I love playing such a diverse sport with people I enjoy being with in and out of the water. I believe team chemistry is such an important aspect of water polo, and I hope to open myself up to new players and possibly future friends as well. I am very comfortable being the person to step up in situations, and I find it most beneficial to take mistakes as learning opportunities; as I am always striving to be a better player. I would like to think of myself as a flexible player and very communicative both in the pool and out. I am constantly trying to find new ways to improve myself and my team by bringing ideas to my teammates and coaches. I value both my coaches and teammates opinion very strongly, and I am always open to different ways of approaching situations. I am also looking forward to continuing my studies and interests in psychology. The different mechanisms of how the brain works and why humans perform the way they do has always fascinated me, and in the future I hope to be able to make a living doing that. Overall, continuing water polo at the college level is something I am most defiantly looking forward to.
