Personal Statement
I am a bubbly, hardworking and enthusiastic person. I strive to do the best I can in all areas that I pursue. I aim to broaden my skills by participating in extra-curricular activities such as playing trombone in multiple school bands and ensembles. I was elected the 2023 sport captain at my school that has 2000 students. This has involved engaging the school community in different sporting events and carnivals by promoting a can-do attitude at school assemblies and other forums as well as participating in set up and running of these events. I have also engaged my peers to assist me run similar events for the local junior schools.
In addition to my schoolwork, I have completed a certificate 3 in Group Fitness, and I am currently working towards my certificate 4 in Personal Training. I currently work at two fitness gyms as a group fitness instructor running several classes a week and doing administrative work.
I have also completed a certificate 3 in Business in 2021 which consisted of theory and practical work.
I have also coached junior boys’ teams at my water polo club between 2019 - 2023. I lead my U12 boys’ team to win the gold medal at our Brisbane competition and coach them through club state competitions over this period with podium finishes every year.
I excel at reading water polo game play, communicating with defensive players, and making consistently accurate passes. I approach every game with a positive attitude and refuses to give up or accept defeat until the final buzzer sounds. I have great game stamina as I consistently play entire games without a backup goalie.
I pride myself with being very dedicated to the team; I am always on time for training and always gives my all. I am a goalkeeper who is eager to learn and grow as a player.
I want to advance as a goalkeeper so I can gain experience and skills in a different environment and one day make the national team.
