When I started water polo when I was 7th grade, I knew that I had a passion for the sport. I started on Grand Blanc High School's girls water polo team, and even though the girls on the team were older than me, more knowledgeable on the sport, and more skillful. I just had a feeling that water polo would be a sport that I would never get enough of. That passion that I saw in myself when I first started playing, I still see in myself today and I am eager to take my love for the sport to a collegiate level. Water polo is a sport where I never see myself not giving my full attention and effort, it's a challenging sport that uses so much skill and quick thinking, and that's why I enjoy it as much as I do.
Outside of the pool, I work hard to maintain my GPA. Along with water polo, I participate in my school's environmental club, Club Green. Also, I participated in student government for various years. I have been a part of Grand Blanc High School's Girl's Swim and Dive team since my freshman year, earning a spot on our team's leadership committee my sophomore year.
I am interested in a college that would support not only my water polo career but also provide the ability to study any of my majors of interest, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, pre-optometry, or biology. I would love to have the opportunity to study at a school I love and play the sport that I love.
