I grew up being surrounded by water polo. My dad played D1 at Brown University for four years, as well as my mom who played water polo at Bucknell for two years, and swam for four. I began playing water polo competitively on my club team, Greenwich Aquatics, when I was ten years old. My commitment and devotion to this sport is highlighted in the fact that I travel to Greenwich, Connecticut from New York City around five times a week so that I can practice. I often take time out of practice to hop in the pool with my dad so that we can work on different techniques or focus on certain fundamentals that I may need to improve upon. Doing swim sets with my dad and being on the swim team have both contributed to my drop in times, which has made me feel confident in games that I can out swim my opponents. Water polo is something I’m extremely passionate about. My goal when playing in college is to be able to bond with my teammates over that shared passion, devotion, and adoration for water polo, and be able to connect with other people who also work hard for this sport.
