Personal Statement
I have been playing waterpolo for around 8 years now. Ever since my first practice, I have dedicated all my time to the sport. From training every single day, to refereeing, to coaching, to attending several international training camps and tournaments with the highest ranking team in Ontario, I have gotten to know and understand waterpolo from every possible angle. At 12 years old, I was one of the youngest players to ever be selected for the U16 Team Ontario during my first year of NCL (National Championship League). I was then selected for the same team every year for the next four years. Over the last two years, I was awarded Quest for Gold funding. Quest for Gold funding is awarded to the top six athletes in the province identified as on track for national/international teams. I am a 2021 graduate, but I am taking an extra year of high school to focus on enhancing my academics. My whole life, I have been balancing school and sports, as well as working part-time. My time management skills have and will continue to serve me well throughout college. Waterpolo is my passion. I have always pushed myself to be the best that I can, athletically and academically. I have, and will continue to put every effort forward into succeeding as a collegiate student-athlete.
