Personal Statement


  Hi, I’m Haley Minnich.  I first started playing water polo for a small local club by the name of King Fish in second grade. I fell in love with the sport and since then it has  given me amazing opportunities to improve not only my skills but myself as a person.  Water polo has always been an outlet for me whether it be creative or stress related, 

 Just like everyone else, the pandemic hit me pretty hard both emotionally and academically. I have worked hard to bring my grades back to my pre-pandemic level and am back on Honor Roll. In March of 2021, I had the amazing opportunity to play travel for the first time since covid hit and play in Florida at Spring in the Swamp with a local U18 team .  This trip led to so many opportunities for which I am beyond thankful for.  I later went on to attend the 2021 Junior Olympics in Dallas, Texas with CT Premier U16 girls team.  Since then, I’ve been focusing on school and am currently  a rising junior.
