I've played water polo in Washington for four years. Though the sport isn't big in Washington I've tried to keep the program going at my school. It's been hard to get enough girls to play and I doubted my abilities because my team didn't have a good record until I went to water polo camp last summer. I played with girls from the California schools that were in the junior olympics and instead of being behind like I thought I'd be I was on their level. I scored with and against them and I realized I have potential even if I've been held back by my options at Mark Morris. I love the sport too much to give it up and I have the motivation to become what I need to be to continue playing even if only for a few years more.
