I started wrestling to spend more time with my two brothers. I had spent my whole life playing soccer while they wrestled, and found a lot of joy watching them. My sophomore year was my oldest brothers senior year, and he planed on joining the military after graduating. This was also the year my school started our girls wresting team, so I saw my chance to spend time with him and learn to wrestle. I've always been very good at leaning new things. All of my coaches have told me that I am a very coachable person. I am open to constructive criticism and advise. I work extremely hard and always follow through. I have finished different soccer games and wrestling matches where I have had two torn ACL's, concussions, the flu, and a sprained ankle. I love the feeling of knowing I've completed something to the best of my ability, and not quitting no matter how bad it is. This is why I believe I would be a great asset to any college wrestling program. My goal for this year was to place at state, but I ended up getting really sick and passing out in the middle of my first match. I didn't get any better during state, so I wrestled at what felt like 70%. But even during that time I could still find things for myself to work on for next years season. My plans next year is to place at state, graduate high school, find a great college to wrestle at, and study Dermatology. My academic goals are to encourage myself to participate in class or group discussions and other scholastic activities, and to put more work into my grades. My first year of wrestling I was awarded the Most Important Wrestler Award, I made it to state my sophomore and junior year, and a Devotion I wrote was put into Lisa Hanks FCA women's wrestling news article . I have only wrestled for 2 years and I feel that I have accomplished so much and I can't wait to do so much more.
