My name is Hurshal Pol and I am an aspiring medical student. I've known that I wanted to pursue a medical degree since I was very little. I was drawn to the idea of actually being able to physically help someone get better. My search for furthering my college degree has led me to the decision of doing Pre-Med so that I can study Surgery in med school.
I have always been a hard worker in all of my endeavors. In fourth grade, I joined Girl Scouts to better my leadership abilities. Those skills helped me when I joined my high school team as the only girl; pioneering my way into a varsity spot my freshman year. My priority is to keep my grades exemplary because I know that doing well in school is the correct path for a bright future. Diligence is what keeps my grades up. Wrestling has pushed me by teaching me that there is no shortcut to "getting better". Developing as an athlete comes through putting in the effort and work even when your body and mind are telling you not to; but also to have fun and make the most out of every condition. That is what keeps me going forward when I hit a plateau in a workout or life situation.
The ultimate goal of college will be to achieve the highest level of academics and wrestling that I can.
