Personal Statement

My name is Gracie Temmel and I'm a senior from Norton, KS. Last year was my first year wrestling and I was a heavyweight. My record was 0-11. This year I wrestled 170/191 and my record was 9-5. I placed 5th on the first day of state. I moved up a weight class due to us having another 170 on the team and my coach thinking I'd do better up a weight class rather than her. I lost 60 lbs over the summer and improved immensely.

My favorite quote is, "no pain no gain." It's generic, I know, but when I'm feeling overwhelmed and like I have nothing left.  I dig deeper and remember that. It pushes me further and keeps me going.  

I'm excited to talk with you and join college Women's Wrestling!
