Personal Statement

I Immigrated to the United States in 2018, started wrestling my sophomore year,  and absolutely fell in love with the sport!  I enjoy the competition of each match and I have learned that a person can stretch the limits of the body and mentally push past them.  My first year I wrestled up in the next higher weight class to gain more knowledge, compete against bigger and stronger competitors, and help my team.  I finished my first season with a 16-7 record.  In my Jr. year 20/21, I finished with a 31-6 record (29 by Fall and 2 by Decision), won gold in District 8, silver in sectionals, qualified for state, and was ranked 7th at 159lbs, in Missouri.  I believe that I will be an asset to my college team because I work hard and train hard every day and believe in teamwork.  I strive to not only be a good athlete, but I am also determined to give 110% in all that I do,  my personal faith in my God endeavors me to a high standard of success.  I desire that my coaches as well as my instructors help mold and further develop my character so that I can give back and help others toward success in life.  I work diligently in my academic life and hold currently a 3.72 GPA.  My goal in the future is to pursue a major in Exercise Science with the goal of becoming a Chiropractor.  My goal in my senior year in high school is to get better every day, learn more techniques, and prepare myself to be a member of your team!
