Personal Statement
My name is Trinity Lesser and wrestling is a huge part of my life. I started wrestling in 8th grade being almost 210 pounds. I started it because it was way out of my comfort zone and it was something new, but I soon came to fall in love with it. Wrestling means something different to everyone, but to me it’s my life. This is where I’m at peace and can be myself and along with my family I believe this is my sport and where I belong. I’ve faced many challenges with preparing myself for the next match and coming to terms with loses, and I soon realized that I won’t get any better if I don’t push the limits. I love being able to help coach and teach others all of the different things I’ve learned throughout junior high and high school. While wrestling I also did softball for almost seven years but quit and started focusing more on what I knew best. I pushed myself harder than anyone in the wrestling room and strived to be my best self not only in the wrestling room but in the weight room as well. I strive for perfection and even my coaches saw that this was perfect for my competitiveness. I never really thought about doing sports until around 7th grade when I started softball I wanted to wrestle but didn’t have the courage until about 8th grade season when I went 19-2. I love being with my team and being the number one supporter for all of my girls. I love being a team leader and helping anyone who asks for it and I’m fully committed on doing whatever it takes to make myself better.
