I decided to try wrestling for the first time this year. I was immediately drawn to the sport due to its intensity and mental and physical toughness. Despite having only one season of wrestling experience, I quickly fell in love with the sport and knew I wanted to pursue it in college.
Before I can consider myself an accomplished wrestler, I am fully aware that I am still learning and have a long way to go. To become a better athlete, I am however committed to daily improvement and effort. I am willing to invest the additional time and effort necessary to master the necessary skills and techniques to excel in this sport.
Despite my relative youth as a wrestler, I have already demonstrated my dedication and work ethic. During my first season, I was one of the most committed members of my team, arriving at practice early and staying late to work on my technique. I am a quick learner who is eager to take on new challenges and improve myself as a wrestler.
My academic record is attractive, and I am confident in my ability to balance the demands of wrestling with my academic obligations. I recognize that college wrestling will be significantly more difficult than high school wrestling, but I am prepared to put in the necessary effort to compete at the next level.
My ultimate objective is to become an exceptional wrestler and contribute to a successful college wrestling program. I believe that my passion for the sport, work ethic, and dedication to improvement make me a strong candidate for any college wrestling team, and I am eager to continue competing in this sport in college."
