I believe I would be a good candidate for your wrestling program because I am the hardest worker in the room, I am a leader on my current team, and I can step up to any challenge my coaches ask me to take. I have only been wrestling for 3 and a half years and have improved greatly from my freshman year going from the JV squad to being currently ranked at number 11 in the state of California for high school wrestlers at 170 pounds. I know I have so much more potential and see improvements in my skills every week. I will only grow and improve as a competitive wrestler in your program. I am willing to put in the work and effort to reach my goals and during the COVID pandemic, I used this time to focus on weight training, nutrition, and private wrestling training sessions to improve myself as an athlete. My collegiate goals are to first acquire a degree and to reach my potential as a student athlete in the sport of wrestling. I plan on pursuing a career in firefighting or police work. I hope to make a positive impact on society by helping others with a good academic foundation by getting a college degree and my physical abilities.
