Personal Statement
My name is Seth Harrington. I will graduate in May 2014 from Revere High School in Ovid, Colorado. I have held myself to high standard throughout high school maintaining a 3.714 GPA or higher with a current GPA of 3.806. I have been a member of the National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society throughout my junior high and high school career. I have held the office of class president 7th through 12th grade. I am currently serving my 2nd year as Student Council president as well as my 2nd year as Chair person of National Honor Society. I served as president of the Care Team and Chair person of the National Junior Honor Society my 7th and 8th grade years. In addition to my school offices I have been president of my 4-H club for the last 3 years, the Sedgwick County 4-H Council for the last 2 years, and hope to be the future president of the Sedgwick County FFA Chapter. Not only do I hold myself to a high standard in academics I also hold myself to a high standard in my athletics. I have been a varsity member of the Sedgwick County Cougar football team all 4 years of high school earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors my Sophomore year and All Conference my Junior year. I have qualified for the State Wrestling tournament all 3 years so far placing 4th my freshman year, 3rd my sophomore year, and was State Champion my junior year. I was also selected to travel to Germany during the summer of 2013 with the Colorado Stars to compete against the Germans. I am very active and hold myself to high standards in whatever it is that I participate in and plan to hold myself to those high standards throughout life.
