To begin with being the son of two immigrant parents, everything has not been easy. I grew up not having much, but that didn't stop me from doing what I wanted to do. I had to work hard especially when you're half blind from one side. People doubt you because of your appearance and conditions, but my mother always told me that I am not any different from anyone else. We may be different on the outside but everyone is the same on the inside. I may be blind from one whole side but I work harder than others since i wasn't given everything another person has. Being blind has taught me to be humble and to take everything one step at a time. One thing I will always remember my coach saying is to be a great athlete first he has to be coach-able. I can assure you i am coach-able.
