Since I was in the eighth grade it has been a dream of mine to compete at the collegiate level. Coming from Lanai, HI we have a very small community and we don't get that much exposure living on a small island, and we have a very relaxed lifestyle which makes it hard to leave home. Going to college would mean a lot to not only me but my family as well. I hope to learn more and become a better student in the classroom, and on the wrestling mats. I will push myself and my team to get better in and outside of the wrestling room every day. My goal is to also build a strong relationship with my coaches and my team not only during my time in college but afterwards as well. Although my grades and my accolades right now are not that great I will try my best to learn as much as I can. It took me a long time to realize what hard work actually meant but during my senior year of high school it clicked in my head thanks to my coaches and my teammates, and I am excited to see what my future holds for me.
