Cameron Hobbs '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a 16 year old male wrestler, I started wrestling at the age of 6 years old. I am a Sophomore in high school attending Elevate Academy East. I am Wrestling for Idaho Falls High School. I am a 2 time district placer.  A 3 time state qualifier. A 1 time state placer. I have been undefeated up until finals match in districts 2 seasons (2021-2022 & 2022-2023 seasons) . Have gone to the Montana Open tournament starting in 2021-2023 with a 3-6 record all together for the tournament. Placed 4th at Idaway State 2023. I was a captain all three of my middle school seasons, I was going to be captain my Freshman & Sophomore years of High School until i got injured and was not able to be there for my team due to doctors appointments and doctor restriction, I’ve also been a captain for my club team for 4 years (2019-2023). I have also had the opportunity to be a student coach at the Idaho K-5 tournaments & practices, as well as the middle school and high school tournament, practices, & duels (6-12). I have not coached for my club team yet. I would love a scholarship from Penn State(#1), University of Iowa(#2), or Michigan State University(#3). Academically I average A’s & B’s every once in a while will get a C. I have only ever received 3 failing grades max. 

I will hopefully be back for part of the 2025 offseason but will be back for the 2025-2026 High School Season wrestling for Idaho Falls High School as a Junior. My Junior year will be my first time ever wrestling a High School Match.
