Taylor Cottam '19 Recruiting Profile

I am interested in attending a college with both a competitive academic and wrestling program. I aspire to be a great student both on and off the mat. I am a strong candidate due to my hard work and determination to never give up. I first started wrestling in the beginning of my Freshman year and I have worked hard to achieve my success. I was selected as one of the Captains of my wrestling team my Senior year due to my ability to set a high standard of hard work and overcome adversity. I feel that I am different from other recruits due to my leadership skills, ability to work hard regardless of whether I win or lose, and balance my academic studies at the same time. While this is not always easy, I understand that the right attitude and focus under pressure are some of the most important life skills you can develop. I look forward to continuing to develop these skills.
