Personal Statement
I have been wrestling since I was six years old. I got in to the sport that I did not know much about and l was heavy until about the age of 9 so drilling moves and wrestling live was not easy for me and I was not winning a lot of matches. I learned the next few years if I set my mind to a goal I could achieve it. I slimmed down, got more in shape and became a better wrestler and more importantly had more confidence. I could and appreciated wrestling more for what it was and what it could do for me on and off the mat. I am the hardest person working in the room and always push myself and my team mates. Wrestling has pushed me to want to do the best I can and never take the easy way out. What I do in school is as important as what I do on the mat. The sport of wrestling is something to this day I couldn’t imagine myself without and I will continue to follow its message and apply it to everything I do so I may better myself in everything I do.
